Who We Are

Environment India Foundation is a registered nonprofit in India

committed to confronting environmental degradation, especially where it hits the poor the hardest. We believe that a damaged environment is not just an ecological issue but a moral one, affecting the most vulnerable communities in deeply unjust ways.

Rooted in the principles of nonviolence, compassion, and collaboration, we work to empower the marginalized through creative, faith-informed action.

Our mission is to build a more just and peaceful world by addressing both the causes and consequences of injustice.

Our work is grounded in three core areas:
  • Education and Leadership Development

Equipping young minds and emerging leaders with the knowledge, skills, and Christ-centered values to drive change in their communities.

  • Economic Transformation and Empowerment

Creating sustainable livelihoods and supporting grassroots entrepreneurship, especially for women, youth, and tribal populations.

  • Equitable Justice and Advocacy

Championing the rights of the poor through informed advocacy, legal awareness, and inclusive development.

We operate through a transparent, accountable consortium of organizations and individuals who are united by a shared vision for justice, stewardship, and hope. Together, we strive to turn values into action and action into lasting impact.

What We Do

At Environment India Foundation, we dedicate our time, energy, and resources to standing in solidarity with the marginalized, the excluded, and the overlooked, amplifying their voices, defending their rights, and supporting their pursuit of a dignified, self-reliant life.

We believe that social justice, environmental stewardship, and human dignity are deeply interconnected.

That is why our programs are designed to not only meet urgent needs but also to create long-term, sustainable change — always rooted in harmony with nature and respect for local cultures.

Sustainable Community Development

We support disadvantaged communities—especially women, youth, indigenous groups, and smallholder farmers—through programs that foster self-reliance, environmental sustainability, and economic resilience.

Education and Capacity Building

We empower individuals and local institutions through training, leadership development, and access to knowledge. Our focus is on nurturing the next generation of ethical, community-rooted changemakers.

Justice, Rights, and Advocacies

We walk alongside the poor in their struggles for equity and justice—advocating for human rights, social inclusion, and policies that protect both people and the planet.

Agroecology and Green Livelihoods

We promote farming and livelihood models that work in harmony with nature, supporting regenerative agriculture, fair markets, and climate-resilient practices.

How We Work

We strengthen our impact by building strategic alliances with:

  • State and local governments
  • International development partners
  • Leading agribusiness and sustainability-focused enterprises
  • Faith-based and grassroots organizations

These partnerships enable us to scale solutions, influence policy, and channel investment into the communities that need it most. Together, we are working toward an India and a world where the poor are no longer powerless, where the earth is treated with care, and where justice and compassion shape every aspect of development.

Nurture Cultural Tourism

Where Culture Meets Purpose, and Where Travel Becomes a Transformation

We champion cultural tourism as a meaningful and transformative journey—one that moves beyond traditional sightseeing to foster deep connection, understanding, and service. Our vision is to invite travelers into the heart of India’s rich heritage, vibrant traditions, and everyday local life offering experiences that are immersive, purposeful, and life-enriching.

A One-Stop Gateway to Culture, Mission and Trade

Through our integrated platform, we provide comprehensive solutions in:

  • Trade & Tourism
  • Travel & Hospitality
  • Cultural Promotion & Mission Engagement

From promoting India’s artistic and cultural legacy to facilitating international handicraft trade, our approach creates mutual value—for visitors and for the communities they encounter.

In Partnership with Churches and Christian Organizations

We welcome international visitors not merely as tourists, but as partners in a shared journey of cultural appreciation, mission engagement, and holistic learning.

Programs are designed to:
  • Connect travellers with local churches and Christian missions
  • Enable immersive stays in communities and top-service apartments
  • Facilitate meaningful interactions with local artisans, especially in the culturally rich Northeast region
  • Support handicraft trade initiatives that open global markets for skilled traditional artisans
By blending faith, culture, and compassion, we aim to:
  • Promote mutual respect and intercultural dialogue
  • Foster sustainable development
  • Revitalize local economies through ethical trade and responsible tourism
Travel With Purpose. Trade With Impact. Serve With Heart.

Together with state governments and grassroots communities, we work to curate journeys that not only inspire travellers but also uplift host communities. Whether it’s experiencing the legacy of Indian craftsmanship, supporting generational artisan families, or simply sharing stories around a village hearth—every journey becomes a testimony of connection, transformation, and hope.

Let’s make travel more than a trip, and Let’s make it a mission

Approach & Mission

In the vacant places, we will build with new bricks.
There are hands and machines and clay for new mortar.
Where the bricks are fallen, we will build with new stone.
Where the beams are rotten, we will build with new timbers.
Where the word is unspoken, we will build with new speech.
Without delay, without haste, we would build the beginning…

From this time forth
Go comfort others
And you will know the
Best fellowship with the Lord
Whose broken heart of love, has healed the world

Empower the last, the least and the l0st
